Tide height, high and low water, sunrise, sunset and moon phase are computed on your phone from harmonic constants, the same astronomy the official tables use. No connection, no subscription, no waiting on a server. Weather and sea state are downloaded when you have a signal and cached for when you do not.

Every NOAA station in the United States, Hawaii and Alaska, plus a global tide-gauge catalogue covering Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

THE RIGHT STATION, NOT THE NEAREST ONE
The closest gauge in a straight line is often the wrong one. Half Moon Bay is open Pacific coast, but its nearest gauge sits twenty kilometres away inside San Francisco Bay, where high water arrives an hour and forty-four minutes later with half again the range. Tidewise compares tidal phase rather than distance and picks the station that matches your water. You can always override it.

CHECKED AGAINST THE OFFICIAL TABLES
Every release is tested against published predictions. San Francisco: within 3.5 minutes and 2 cm. Kealakekua Bay, Hawaii: within 4 minutes and 1 cm. Anchorage, Alaska, a nine-metre range needing 120 harmonic constituents: within 7.5 minutes and 11 cm.

WIND, WAVES AND WEATHER
Wave height, swell, period and sea state next to wind, gusts, pressure trend, cloud, visibility and water temperature — hour by hour for seven days.
