About Weather Fables: Cute Widgets
The weather, told as a fable.
Every morning a character steps out of the book with your real forecast: one hand-lettered line, in a voice that belongs to nobody else.
They are not mascots. Each of the sixteen Companions has a life of their own, with things they love, things they can't stand and habits they will never give up, and all of it colours the way they tell your sky. Nemesi is royal and spoiled; Ade, her gentle giant, hides behind her and is sure nobody can see him. Their sons: Ares goes looking for trouble in every thunderstorm, and Kronos takes your lap. Dyna would do anything for a sunbeam, even on the coldest morning. Vikis sleeps through the snow, loudly. Timis spends clear nights pushing his person off the pillow, an inch at a time. A crimson dragon adores a heatwave, and a walrus dozes through the rain and tells you about it anyway.
And they are connected. Some are family, some share a history, and every one of them is keeping something back. Their stories unfold a line at a time through the year, and no line comes back for a year, so every morning is a new page.
Pythia, who keeps the book by lantern light, tells your weather for free. The whole sky brings every Companion: let the sky choose who steps forward each morning, or choose one, and the whole app follows their voice, from the widgets on your Home Screen to the notes on your Lock Screen.
Underneath the fable is a real weather app: Apple Weather data, ten days ahead, hour by hour, with the day's details (feels like, UV, humidity, wind, pressure and more), for as many places as you like, on iPhone and iPad. And the book travels with you: your own place follows you wherever you go, and so do its widgets.

Latest updates
1.0.2
The book has been read closely again, and a few more pages are set right.
• The widgets show their painting again on a Home Screen set to the Tinted or Clear look — a reader found them blank white, and they were.
• By a reader's request, sunrise and sunset now lead Today's details, each with its time — and in the far north the tiles say so when the sun stays up or stays down.
• The line under Today's temperature breaks neatly on every iPhone.
• Searching for a place finds Bath and Durham by their own names.
• Allowing location for the first time no longer shows "could not find you" while iOS is still asking.
• If the whole sky is already yours, setting up the book goes straight to the welcome page.
• Restore purchases checks what Apple already knows before asking you to sign in.
1.0.1
The book has been read closely since it opened, and a few pages are set right.
• A note opens the town it is about: a rain note for London opens London, told by London's own Companion, at the right minute on that town's clock.
• The Lock Screen's rain card and the Dynamic Island draw their pictures, and the card turns to "Rain passing" by itself when the rain begins.
• When Apple's weather service is busy, the page says so and offers Try again; a change of network asks again by itself.
• The onboarding pages scroll as one, with more room for the pictures on every iPhone.
• Every Companion keeps their whole head in the picture, and the paintings sit so that nobody is cut at the foot, on iPad too.
• Skully has more room on the Warnings page, the Forever offer fits the smallest iPhone, and tips show one per visit.
