About WeatherAlarmApp
WeatherAlarm helps you follow the weather at home and at the other places that matter to you. Add a parent’s house, a child’s college town, or anywhere you want to keep an eye on. Each saved place has its own alerts, conditions, forecast, and weather context. All for free, with no ads, no subscriptions, no tracking, 100% free, like apps used to be.
When the National Weather Service issues a warning, WeatherAlarm checks the places you monitor and sends a location-specific alert. Open it to see what happened, which place is affected, and the latest available storm context.
WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 3
Apple Watch: See your saved places and their warning status in the paired Watch app. Add a complication for a quick glance from your watch face. Set up and manage places on iPhone.
Live Activities: Eligible active Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings can appear on the iPhone Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. See the affected place, warning level, and remaining time as the warning changes.
Weather on glass: On a location’s detail screen, weather-inspired light and motion bring current conditions into the scene. The app chooses the effect automatically; you can turn it off in Settings.
MORE WAYS TO KEEP WATCH
• Monitor multiple saved locations independently
• Get official weather alerts for the places you choose
• Explore radar, warning areas, and weather layers on the map
• See current conditions, hourly details, and a multi-day forecast
• Keep alert information close with iPhone widgets
• Review storm details after a warning ends when a report is available
WeatherAlarm is free, with no ads or subscription. No account signup is required.
Severe weather alerts for the people you love.
WeatherAlarm is an independent app. National Weather Service alerts and other weather data depend on their source and network availability. Keep more than one way to receive urgent warnings.

COMING UP: THE WEEK AHEAD, FOR EVERYONE YOU WATCH
A new card at the top of the Alerts tab tells the week ahead across all your places in one glance. Expand it for the Storm Prediction Center's Day 1 to 8 severe storm outlooks, heavy rain and flooding, snow and ice amounts, winter storm impacts, heat, air quality and the longer range. Each outlook has its own map and a detail screen that reads like the forecasters' own.
WHAT THE FORECASTERS ARE THINKING
Open a location's Additional Details to read the local National Weather Service forecast discussion, in the forecasters' own words. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, a short overview sits above the full text. Press and hold to copy any of it.
RAIN, SNOW AND ICE, IN DETAIL
When precipitation is on the way, each location shows how much to expect, when it changes between rain, snow and ice, and any flooding risk. Winter storm impacts appear on the Map and on each location, from minor to extreme.
ALERTS THAT LEAD WITH WHAT MATTERS
Each active alert now opens with the forecaster's own impact statement, so you see the hazard before the headline. Sort active alerts by severity or by place, with a label for each person's run of alerts. When forecasters end a warning early, it leaves your Active list right away. Every alert time is shown in that place's own time zone.
STORM REPORTS SHOW THEIR PROGRESS
While a storm report builds, follow each step as it comes together: spotter reports, radar scans, winds, hail and rain.
MORE ON THE MAP
Jump from any location straight to its spot on the Map. The Map opens on the radar site nearest your places. Name labels under each location pin can be turned off in Settings.
BETTER ON A WEAK SIGNAL
WeatherAlarm copes better with poor connections: it retries smartly, skips data that hasn't changed, keeps your last good forecast on screen, and sizes radar history to your connection.
3.0.1
Version 3 brings WeatherAlarm to Apple Watch. Check your saved places and their warning status in the paired app, and add a complication to your watch face.
Eligible active Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings can now stay in view on the iPhone Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island through Live Activities. The affected place, warning level, and remaining time are close at hand.
Location details now respond to the weather with light and motion, from sunny skies to storms and snow. WeatherAlarm chooses the scene automatically, and you can turn the effect off in Settings.
We also refined alerts, forecasts, radar, and the way saved places load.
Thanks for keeping watch with us.
