The first weeks of a gluten free diet are a crash course. What has gluten in it? Is soy sauce gluten free? Which beer can you still drink? The app answers those questions while you find your feet, so the grocery shop stops feeling like an exam.
Missing product? Get an answer anyway
Sooner or later you'll scan something the app hasn't seen before. Photograph the barcode, the name, and the ingredients list, and often you'll have a verdict while you're still in the aisle. If it needs a human eye, we review it, and your addition is there for the next person who picks up that product.
Offline mode (Premium)
Supermarket dead spots, basement aisles, flights. Download the database once over Wi-Fi and the food scanner carries on with no signal at all; it refreshes itself the next time you open the app online. It packs well, too: scan your way round a supermarket abroad with mobile data switched off.

For every gluten free shopper
Coeliac disease, non-coeliac gluten sensitivity, a gluten intolerance, or a coeliac friend coming to dinner: the question in the aisle is the same. Is it gluten free? Scan snacks, cereals, bread, pasta, sauces, chocolate, and drinks on the weekly grocery shop, and get a straight answer on each one.
A note on gluten
Gluten comes from wheat, barley, rye, spelt, and triticale. On a label it hides behind names like barley malt, malt extract, wheat starch, and hydrolysed wheat protein, and it turns up where you least expect it: soy sauce, stock cubes, soups, sweets, and beer.
