Review momentum (0-100) blends how fast the app collects ratings compared with other apps in its category (60%), whether that pace is speeding up (25%) and what recent raters give it (15%; recent stars well below lifetime pull it down). About NewsCord: News & Media Bias
Read beyond a single headline. NewsCord brings reporting from multiple outlets together so you can compare news coverage, understand different perspectives and see what may be missing.
COMPARE THE COVERAGE
Explore current stories across world news, politics, science, technology and more. See how many sources are covering a story, then compare the details in one place.
UNDERSTAND MEDIA BIAS
Look at contrasting headlines and quotes, explore how each outlet frames an event, and discover facts that some reports leave out. NewsCord uses AI-assisted analysis with links to original sources, so you can inspect the reporting and form your own view.
GO DEEPER
Start with a concise summary, read the fuller story and follow source links for context. Follow topics you care about and save stories to return to later.
TURN READING INTO ACTION
The Action tab brings together campaigns about reporting and public accountability. Read the evidence, review and edit a prepared message, and follow the campaign's instructions to send it or complete an official form. Track your activity and explore published responses.
REPORT AN ARTICLE
Seen a story that gets it wrong? Tap Share on the article in Safari, Chrome or another app and choose NewsCord, or paste its link on the Report an article screen. Highlight the words that are wrong and say what is wrong with each. For articles from the outlets the Watchdog follows, on subjects such as Gaza, UK politics and climate, NewsCord scores the article against the same checks it runs on every outlet and shows you what it found next to your marks. Reporting is free. The full annotated breakdown opens in the app with NewsCord Pro.
YOUR BRIEFING, AT A GLANCE
Add a NewsCord widget to your home screen for recent headlines and source counts. Tap a story to open it in the app. Saved headlines remain available in the widget when the network is unavailable, with their update time clearly shown.
FREE FEATURES AND NEWSCORD PRO
Browse the feed, report articles, explore Action campaigns and use your account features for free. Reading and analysis inside article screens require NewsCord Pro. Monthly and yearly subscriptions are available; prices and any eligible trial are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your store account. NewsCord is also available on the web at newscord.org.
