About Baby Layers: Weather Dressing
Set the temperature on the dial and get an exact, illustrated list of clothing layers for three situations:
- Outside — walks and outings, with toggles for wind, rain, sun, a carrier or the car seat
- At home — indoor daytime comfort
- Sleep — safe sleep guidance built around sleep sacks and TOG ratings
MADE FOR REAL PARENTS
- Age-aware: newborns need about one layer more, toddlers a touch less
- Adjust to your baby: if yours runs warm or cool, shift the answers to match
- Every item is a suggestion, not an order — tap any garment for equally good swaps, and the app remembers the ones you prefer
- "Why this?" explains every answer and names the published guidance behind each piece, including where sources differ
- A short "Good to know" library answers everyday questions calmly, without scare stories
- Pack for later: going for a walk that will cool down or warm up? See what to take along, and when
BABY LAYERS PRO
Add your baby's own clothes as stickers made on your phone, and see them right in the answer. Save the outfits that work, with a photo, and find them again when the weather comes round. Let the dial follow the forecast where you are, wind and rain included. Five pieces and one outfit are free. Pro unlocks the rest with a single one-time purchase, no subscription.
The app always reminds you of the golden rule: trust the neck check — warm but not sweaty — over any chart.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. Your location only if you let the dial follow the forecast, and only roughly. Your clothes and photos stay on your phone. Only anonymous crash and usage statistics — never anything identifying you or your baby.

About Baby Layers: Weather Dressing
Baby Layers is a clothing guide by temperature: it tells you what to put on your baby based on the weather you're actually dealing with. Set the temperature, choose outside, at home, or sleep, and you get a clear list of layers — from a onesie to a winter jacket, or the right sleep sack for the room.
THREE SITUATIONS, ONE CLEAR ANSWER
Outside — layers for the walk, adjusted for wind, rain, and strong sun, and for the car seat: no puffy coat under the straps. At home — what a normal room actually calls for, without the extra bundling. Sleep — the right sleep sack for the room temperature, and what goes underneath.
BUILT AROUND REAL BABIES
Newborns hold heat differently than toddlers, so recommendations shift with age. Carrying your baby in a sling or carrier? Turn Carrier on and everything drops a layer, because your body heat counts as warmth. If your little one simply runs warm or cool, Adjust to your baby shifts every answer to match. Prefer a T-shirt to a bodysuit? Pick it once and it is remembered.
WHY THIS?
Every recommendation can explain itself. Tap through and see how the temperature, the weather, age, and the carrier add up to the layers on screen, with the published guidance from health services and safe-sleep charities behind each piece. Where those sources differ, the app says so.
GOOD TO KNOW
Short, skimmable notes on the things new parents actually look up. How to tell if your baby is too warm or too cold. What TOG means and which sleep sack fits which room. Why puffy coats don't belong under car seat straps. Why two thin layers usually beat one thick one.
PACK FOR LATER
Going for a walk that will cool down or warm up? See what to take along, and when to put it on or take it off.
BABY LAYERS PRO
Your own wardrobe in the answer: add the clothes you actually have as stickers made on your phone, or as photos. Save the outfits that work and find them again when the temperature comes round. Let the dial follow the weather forecast for where you are or the cities you choose, with wind and rain. Five pieces and one outfit are free, and Pro unlocks the rest with one payment, no subscription.
NO ACCOUNT
You set the temperature yourself, or with Pro let the forecast set it, for a city you pick or your rough location if you allow it. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. Your clothes and photos stay on your phone. Only anonymous analytics to help improve the app — never anything that identifies you.
Free to use. Baby Layers Pro is an optional one-time purchase.
Everything here is a starting point, not a rule. You know your baby best — we just help with the layers.
