New: iCloud sync
- Use Sailing Companion on several devices: trips, logbook, photos, voice notes, waypoints, checklists and expenses sync through your private iCloud. Turn it on in Settings → iCloud.
- Your data stays in your own iCloud. Only you have access — we can't see it.
- Log together on board: one device records the track, the others can add logbook entries and photos to the running trip. If the recording phone's battery runs out, the trip can be ended from another device.
More new features
- Map view in the Trips tab: every trip as a card with a map of the whole route — running trips grow live. Gallery and list now share the same clear info bar with distance, duration and logbook entries.
- Add logbook entries afterwards: for a finished trip, a time slider with a map moves along your route and fills in time, position, speed and course. Or touch and hold the route on the trip map to add an entry right there.
- Colored cockpit values: touch and hold a cockpit tile to choose a color for its value — on iPhone and Apple Watch. Red values on the dark cockpit help preserve night vision.
- Vibration on arrival: your iPhone vibrates when you reach a waypoint or your destination.
- 3D Flyover: new "Ocean" zoom for long passages, clearer options and a calmer boat motion.

- Turn any trip into a cinematic video. The camera flies in from above and follows your boat in 3D along your track over the satellite map, all the way to the last mooring.
- Your track is colored by speed, and a data line shows the day of the trip, the local time, your speed and the miles sailed.
- Anchorages and harbors where you stopped get a pin with the place name, and the video pauses briefly so you can read it.
- Your photos pop up as polaroids from the spot where you took them.
- At the end, a summary with distance, duration, top speed and average speed.
- Choose the format (Stories, square or widescreen), a length of 10 to 90 seconds, the zoom, and your boat: dinghy, monohull or catamaran.

iPad support: Sailing Companion now runs natively on iPad, in portrait and landscape, with a multi-column trip gallery.
Speed colors on the Navigation map: your track is colored from slow (blue) to fast (red) while you sail, with a legend. The scale starts at a realistic top speed for your boat and grows when you sail faster.
Boat length and type: add your boat’s length (meters or feet) and type (monohull, catamaran, trimaran, motor yacht) when starting a trip. Both appear in the trip details and in the PDF logbook.
Statistics by year: choose a single year or all years for your sailing statistics in the trip list.
Improved
